I hold a BSc in Biological Sciences and an MSc in Zoology from the University of São Paulo and a PhD in Molecular and Computational Biology from the University of Bergen.
I did my MSc at the Center for Marine Biology of the University of São Paulo (Brazil); my PhD at the Sars International Centre for Marine Molecular Biology of the University of Bergen (Norway); and my postdoc at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden (Germany).
Currently, I’m an assistant professor in the Department of Genetics, Ecology, and Evolution of the Institute of Biological Sciences of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Belo Horizonte (Brazil).
